And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious
promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and
escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

WALKING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD WITHOUT STUMBLING
There are many things to get excited about in the Word of God. It is a source of deliverance for
those enslaved in the shackles of oppression. The Word of God brings comfort to those who cope
with life in uncomfortable circumstances. The Word of God inspires and empowers the people
of God to keep pressing on in spite of the difficulty of the moment. God’s Word motivates us to
believe with faith that God will bring us through in order to get to our victory.
With all of these things and more, I get most excited about promises of God. It is in the promises
that God allows us to witness the verification of His work in our lives. Even though we go
through something, remember, God is still with us. The process of getting to the promise can be
distracting. The process often comes with sacrifice. We sacrifice our time to realize the promise
of elevation. We sacrifice and crucify our flesh, in order to live according to God’s will, and
receive the promises He has for our lives. God promised the Hebrews a deliverer and provided
Moses to guide them to the “promised” land. God said in His Word, that if His people who are
called by His name would humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked
ways, then He would hear from heaven, and heal their land. God promised to give rest to all
who are burdened and heavy laden and He will give them rest. Do you see yourselves in these promises?
Has God ever provided someone to deliver you from bondage? Men, have you humbled
yourselves, prayed, and sought the face of God when the going gets tough? When you are tired,
and weary, do you turn your burdens over to Christ? Walking on the promises of God without
stumbling requires strong faith to believe the promise, and discipline to carry you to the
promise. Call forth a benediction on your problems, from the book of Jude 1:24-25 King James Version
(KN) 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before
the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Fill your heart with the words of this familiar
hymn: “Standing on the promises I cannot fan, Listening every moment to the Spirits can
Resting in my Savior as my all in all, Standing on the promises of God.”
Improvement Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the promises in your Word. Those promises
bring peace and comfort in my life because you are not a man that You should he, or the son of
man that you should repent. Your Word has never returned void. I am empowered through what
you have promised me. Amen.
Improvement Meditation: If you are struggling in the area of keeping promises and your
word, now is the time to look at your lifestyle. If there are areas where you overextend
yourselves, prioritize your time to match your ability to keep your Word.
